The Process

How It Works

Four clear steps from sign-up to submission — managed through your dashboard.

  1. 01

    Create Your Free Account

Check your eligibility and unlock your secure personal dashboard in minutes. No payment required to get started.

  2. 02

    Upload Your Documents

Securely add your remote work contracts, degree, and background checks directly to your case through the dashboard.

  3. 03

    We Audit, Translate & Structure

Our specialists review your professional profile, handle your sworn translations, and compile your complete, ready-to-present document booklet — digital and physical — structured to current UGE and consulate requirements.

  4. 04

    We Coordinate Your Submission

We prepare your complete file and coordinate its submission to the UGE or consulate. From that point, processing time and the final decision rest solely with the relevant Spanish authority — not with Bureaucracy. Where in-person steps (such as biometrics or a final appointment) are required, you'll need to attend these yourself; we'll guide you through exactly what's needed and when.

Why Bureaucracy Is Different

We combine expert case management with a digital dashboard to keep your relocation clear, structured, and stress-free — as an independent private service working on your behalf, not the government's.

Sworn Translations Included

Certified translations of employment letters, background checks, and degrees can cost up to €200 on your own. With Bureaucracy, they're included in your flat service fee — no separate invoice.

Regulatory Monitoring

Digital Nomad requirements shift regularly. We track changes at Spain's Large Business Unit (UGE) and adjust your file to reflect current requirements at the time of your case.

Your Ready-to-Present Booklet

We compile a structured, hand-checked physical and digital document set, organised to match what caseworkers typically expect to see — not just a folder of PDFs.

Real-Time Dashboard Tracking

Every document, message, and milestone lives in one place, so you always know what's done and what's still needed.

Even when the UGE came back asking for additional information, our case manager had our backs every step of the way. This resulted in a positive response, and we've been living our new lives in Spain ever since.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply for this visa directly from inside Spain as a tourist?

Yes — this is the most common route we see. Applying from inside Spain on a valid tourist or Schengen stay routes the case directly to the UGE, which can grant a 3-year residency card from the outset, subject to the UGE's own review.

Can I work for companies located inside Spain with this visa?

Yes, with limits. As a freelancer (autónomo), you may work for Spanish clients provided your Spanish-sourced income doesn't exceed 20% of your total monthly professional revenue.

What is the "Beckham Law" tax benefit?

It's a special regime for international talent relocating to Spain. Qualifying Digital Nomads may be taxed as a non-resident — a flat 24% rate on earnings up to €600,000/year — instead of Spain's standard progressive rates, which reach up to 47%. Eligibility depends on your individual circumstances; we recommend confirming your specific situation with a tax advisor.

Are there any hidden costs or extra translation fees?

No. Bureaucracy gives you a transparent, upfront flat fee that covers our case management and required sworn translations (up to €200 value). This fee does not include government or consular fees (such as visa stamp duty or UGE tasas, where applicable) — those are paid directly by you to the relevant authority. Note also that the final application, including any required biometrics, must be completed in person by you at the relevant UGE office or Spanish consulate — this step cannot be delegated to us.
