Our team reviews your bank statements and investment summaries inside your dashboard before submission, formatted the way your consulate typically expects to see them.

The Process

How It Works

Four clear steps from sign-up to your consulate appointment — managed through your dashboard.

  1. 01

    Create Your Free Account

Check your eligibility and unlock your secure personal dashboard in minutes. No payment required to get started.

  2. 02

    Upload Your Documents

Securely add your passport, bank statements, and private health insurance details to your case through the dashboard.

  3. 03

    We Audit, Translate & Structure

Our team reviews your file, handles your sworn translations, and compiles a complete, consulate-ready document booklet — digital and physical.

  4. 04

    Attend Your Consulate Appointment

This step must be completed by you, in person, at the Spanish consulate or embassy in your country of legal residence. You'll bring your ready-to-present booklet; we prepare it, but only you can submit it and attend the appointment. Processing time from that point is set by the consulate, not by Bureaucracy.

Why Bureaucracy Is Different

We combine expert case management with a digital dashboard to make your relocation clear, structured, and stress-free — as an independent private service working on your behalf, not the government's.

Sworn Translations Included

Certified translations into Spanish are typically required and can cost up to €100 on your own. With Bureaucracy, they're included in your flat service fee.

Consulate-Specific Review

Requirements can vary by consulate. We review your file against the specific expectations of the consulate you'll be applying through, rather than a generic template.

Your Ready-to-Present Booklet

A structured, fully paginated document booklet matching how your consulate typically expects documents presented — including a physical copy shipped to your door.

Real-Time Dashboard Tracking

Every document, message, and milestone lives in one place, so you always know what's done and what's still needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I work remotely or telework with a Non-Lucrative Visa?

No. The Non-Lucrative Visa prohibits any economic or professional activity, including remote work. If you plan to telework from Spain for employers or clients outside the country, our Digital Nomad Visa page may be a better fit.

Can I study with my Non-Lucrative Visa?

Yes. While the visa prohibits working or running a business in Spain, it doesn't restrict education — you're free to enrol in universities, language schools, or business courses, or take part in unpaid internships.

Do I have to apply for this visa from inside Spain?

No. The initial application must be submitted and processed at the Spanish consulate or embassy in your current country of legal residence, in person, before you travel to Spain.

Can I use an investment account to meet the financial requirement?

Yes — Spanish consulates generally accept investment portfolios, stocks, bonds, and mutual funds as proof of financial means, provided the funds are readily accessible and meet the minimum threshold. We'll review your investment summaries and help present them the way your consulate typically expects to see them.

Are there any hidden costs or extra translation fees?

No. Bureaucracy's flat service fee covers case management and required sworn translations. It does not include government or consular fees, where applicable — those are paid directly by you to the relevant authority.
