Highly Skilled Worker · job offer from a company in Spain

Got the job offer in Spain?
Let's make sure the paperwork doesn't cost you the start date.

The Highly Skilled Worker permit is the fast lane for specialised roles at Spain-based companies: no labour market test, up to three years, and your family can work too. The catch is that the employer and the UGE both have to see the same story. We build the file so they do.

Free account, no card. Government and consular fees are paid directly by you.

Everything in your fee

We work with your employer, not around them.

Most delays on this permit come from a mismatch between the contract, the job description and the company's paperwork. Here's what we do at every stage.

Stage 1

Before filing

  • Review of the job offer and employer file against UGE expectations
  • Salary checked against the right threshold for the role
  • Personal checklist: passport, criminal record, CV, qualifications
  • Apostille and sworn translation coordination (translation costs are billed separately)
Stage 2

Getting approved

  • File prepared and filing coordinated with your employer's HR or legal team
  • Answers to any UGE request for more documents
  • Every document, message and milestone in your dashboard and app
  • A named case manager from day one
Stage 3 · After approval

Settling in

  • Consulate visa step if you're outside Spain at approval
  • TIE appointment, form and fee guidance
  • Empadronamiento and bank account guidance
  • Family members added now or later

Honest note: the consulate step and the TIE fingerprints are in person. We tell you what to bring.

Main requirements

What the UGE checks, and when to look elsewhere.

We check every one of these before anything is filed. There is no labour market test: your employer doesn't have to prove no local candidate was available.

Salary and employer file

The salary is necessary. It isn't enough on its own.

The UGE reviews the whole file: role, qualifications, company activity and pay have to tell one story.

Minimum gross annual salary

  • Directors and managers€54,142
  • Technical, scientific and professional roles€41,356.36

2026 figures. We confirm which threshold applies to your role before anything is filed.

What your employer provides

  • A signed employment contract
  • A detailed job description
  • Company registration documents (CIF and deed of incorporation)
  • The legal representative's ID
  • Proof the company is up to date with tax and Social Security

We coordinate directly with HR or legal, so you're not relaying requests back and forth. Hiring several people? See our services for employers.

The honest version

What we can't promise, and what we do instead.

Hitting the salary isn't enough. The UGE reviews the whole file: role, qualifications, company activity and pay. We check they tell one story before filing.
Your employer sets part of the pace.If HR takes two weeks to send the company deed, so do we. We chase them with a clear list.

Highly Skilled Worker questions

Do I need a job offer?

Yes, from a company legally established in Spain, for a role that needs specialised qualifications or experience.

Does my employer have to prove no local candidate was available?

No. There's no labour market test on this route, which is a big part of why it's fast.

Is meeting the salary threshold enough?

No. The UGE looks at the whole file: role, qualifications, company activity and salary. We check consistency before filing. The 2026 minimums are €54,142 a year for directors and managers and €41,356.36 for technical, scientific and professional roles.

What does my employer need to provide?

Typically a signed employment contract, a detailed job description, company registration documents (CIF and deed of incorporation), the legal representative's ID and proof of tax and Social Security compliance. We coordinate with HR or legal to gather them.

How long does a decision take?

Typically about 20 business days from filing. The UGE sets that timing, not us.

Can my family come and work?

Yes. A spouse or registered partner, dependent children and, in some cases, dependent parents can join from the start or later, and can live and work in Spain.

I'm already in Spain legally. Do I need a visa?

Generally not. You can usually continue without a separate visa step. Everyone still attends a TIE appointment in person.

Are government fees and translations included?

No. Government and consular fees are paid directly by you, and we tell you each amount before it's due. We coordinate apostilles and sworn translations, but translation costs aren't part of this fee. Extra translations are available at client rates through our translation partner.

When do I pay?

In parts: €300 when you sign up, €500 before case processing, then €599 only once you're approved. Each family member is billed separately: €1,399 per adult, €500 per child.

What if I'm refused?

Approved or you don't pay us: if your permit isn't approved, you don't make the last payment. Earlier payments and government or consular fees aren't refunded. Appeals against unfounded refusals are included. Conditions apply.

Send us the offer. We'll tell you if it qualifies.
